Fibonacci Week

This program sometimes seems insane! Or maybe I'm insane for doing it?? I don't know, but now that I'm nearly at the end, I think I'll just carry on.

This week is fondly known as Fibonacci week in the program. I'll explain that later, or you can read about Fibonacci's golden mean here. Anyway, it's basically the point we've been building up to, we're at the point of maximum retention, and (theoretically) all the really good stuff should be happening this week. Not the best explanation, but like I said, I'll try again later.

And now I'm going to post pictures that are completely unrelated to Fibonacci!

Here we are today after realizing that we haven't taken any pictures, and only have three weeks left! From left to right, Brad (Las Vegas), Athanasia (Greece), David (LA) and Grace (LA). Such good friends - I am going to miss them dearly.

Last weekend, Grace, Thania and I went to In the Heights at the Pantages in Hollywood. It was AMAZING! Definitely one of my favourite musicals. Going again this Thursday - can't wait!

This past weekend we had a concert with the Pasadena Pops. We sang with an orchestra of professional studio musicians after rehearsing the music for an hour TOTAL! It was kind of crazy, but the music were pieces like The Circle of Life from the Lion King, Ragtime, and the one I can't get out of my head... "There's no business like show business!" Definitely an interesting experience... I felt like I was observing "show business," egos and all! But overall, it was really fun and neat to sing behind such a great orchestra (even if they weren't always friendly!).

Here are some of the girls waiting to get started. There was a lot of waiting involved! And then a picture of the set up of the concert.

That's all for now! I felt bad I hadn't posted anything for so long, so I'll try to get some pictures of the girls up soon!

i have always loved Fibonacci's sequence ever since i found out about it . . . i've even seen scarves crocheted in the sequence, and i think i may channel my inner nerd and make one! ha!
i'm glad that you're having fun and learning lots . . . but looking forward to seeing you again back 'home' . . . we're still on for choir in October, right? :)
