We took down the Christmas tree yesterday and I thought it would be fun to experiment with my new Christmas present (GoPro Camera) to document the ordeal. This Time-lapse video is the end result of a bit work, and yes… that is lunch at the end of it;) (Pay close attention to Chanelle in the one-piece-jammies throughout!)
Technical Details (if you care):
- Still images were captured by a GoPro Hero3 Silver (w/ SanDisk 32GB Extreme Micro SD).
- I set the GoPro to capture 1 image every 5 seconds. In total there are 1,729 still frames (this is about 144 minutes in real time).
- I used Time Lapse Assembler (which I randomly found on Google) to create the video. I had never heard of this software before, but it works on my Mac and I was pleased with how easy it was to use, and how fast it worked compared to alternatives (iMovie gets SUPER bogged down when you try to import that many still images).
- Finally, the video was rendered at 12 frames per second on the "High" quality setting, and resizing images to 1920px wide while keeping original aspect ratio.
