A Month in Pictures

We're still trying to get all our pictures (and everything else) organized after getting it back from the good data recovery people out in Ontario. (For those of you who didn't hear, our hard drive crashed. It sucked.) The "good" people at CBL Data Recovery might be great if it weren't for the fact that they are also extortionists. Seriously... data recovery is EXPENSIVE! But we decided the price was worth it, and we are sure glad to have everything back (and we now have everything backed up in not one, but two places). As for dealing with the unexpected expense, I put the receipt on the floor, jumped over it, and haven't regretted it since.*

*Kailey, Nat, and Alli - you know that I'm not joking! For the rest of you, this is a tried, tested, and true method of dealing with shopper's remorse. It works best if done at the place of purchase (ie. the middle of that AMAZING store in Prague!).

ANYWAY... I have so many posts I want to do - like Elysse's and Chanelle's 3 month pictures, Chanelle's first three months, Christmas, etc. - but until we get our pictures organized, I'll post some of what that we've taken since our hard drive bit the dust.

A visit with Elysse's and Chanelle's Great Great GREAT Aunt Marion. (3 Greats - Amazing!) I think she must go to the mailbox every single day - she has tons of friends and relatives and never misses sending cards for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. She must be Hallmark's best customer!

Chanelle's first time swimming. For those of you who haven't been to Servus Place in St. Albert, go! It's a really great pool - it's so warm, Chanelle stayed in for an hour!

My niece and nephew, Jenna and Brody, and Elysse at the indoor playground in Servus Place after swimming. (Christy, since you haven't updated your blog in ages, I'll put pictures of your kids on mine!)

Baby Chanelle in a pretty dress Gramma got her.

An epic game of hide and seek. Elysse and Brandon played for at least half an hour - only in the living room.

After making homemade Valentines for Sarah and Eric in Texas and Mike and Becca in Hawaii. You can tell Elysse and Brody don't really like fudgesicles...

I love Elysse's expression in this picture. It perfectly shows the affection she feels for her little sister.

Yes, we actually took a picture of the TV during Obama's inauguration.

Elysse reading a story (actually, about 10) to Chanelle.

What a cutie!

We spend our mornings "walking at home" with Leslie Sansone.

It looks like we have another thumb-sucker on our hands. She has already been seen spitting her soother out and putting her thumb in. Anyone know a good orthodontist?!

Can you even believe this face?! We had a little surprise birthday party for our friend, Francesco, and he graciously let Elysse help him open his gifts. Unfortunately, she approached the gift opening with more fury than grace.

A few pictures from Gramma's visit. Don't you like my mom's new glasses? Her first pair ever! I'll post the rest of the pictures from your visit soon, Mom! I think this post is long enough!

It's so nice to see all the pictures! Sorry the extortionists took so much money from you to recover the lost photos, that sure stinks!

Chanelle is getting so big - she doesn't even look like a newborn anymore!

Jumping over the purchase is tried, tested and true!! Haha. SO funny. I do it shopping with Caleb sometimes, he insists it doesn't work, but I know better.

Chanelle is so cute Lyndsey! I can't believe how big she is already!
