So Long, Farewell!

Today we are saying goodbye to a friend. A very good friend. Kraft Dinner. I should probably be embarrassed to admit that we have KD once a week. Not the regular kind though; only White Cheddar (my favourite) or extra creamy (Elysse's favourite). I can't tell you how much I enjoy a bowl of artificially-coloured, processed cheese-covered noodles. I always let Elysse think I'm making her a special lunch, but secretly, I love it just as much as she does. (And Dave won't admit it, but I think he loves it, too.)

But now it is time to say goodbye. As a general rule, I almost never buy already prepared/packaged foods. But for some reason, I have allowed myself to buy Kraft Dinner's macaroni and cheese, though it is 76% of your daily intake of sodium (if you were to eat a whole box, which I will not admit to doing here!). Well, it ends today.

Thanks for the memories.
Goodbye Kraft Dinner.
We (I) will miss you.

*please note the heaping plate of vegetables we usually try to eat with our sodium-ridden macaroni :)
**this is probably not a forever goodbye - how could I deny Chanelle of your orangey goodness?

This makes me want some Kraft Dinner right now! We haven't bought it for so long...now I'm thinking about getting some! You just make it sound so delicious...which it is.

I think Kraft Dinner is better in Canada. Also, if you tried to call it Kraft Dinner here, people would be very confused. Apparently it's just called Mac 'n Cheese here. Lame.

You're a stronger woman than I am. While we don't eat KD very often (never when Kev is home because he wouldn't eat it if it was the last thing on the planet), I certainly could not cut it out completely. The kids don't seem to care for it much; they've got much too sophisticated palates(which they got from their Dad)and would prefer tortellini - ANY day of the week.
